Can you hear the Christmas music already?  These last few months of the year are all about family and those you love.   • Tabletop Games (Sheldon)

      • All ages are invited to play modern and classic tabletop games at Eugene Public Library’s neighborhood branches on the first Tuesday evening of each month. A wide variety of games will be available for children, teens, and adults, ranging from Animal Upon Animal to Settlers of Catan to Scrabble.

  • Money Matters for Beginners

      • Money matters affect everyone every day. But not everyone knows that there are some basic rules that lead to financial stability and success. This user-friendly workshop outlines these rules and helps participants to apply them to improve their financial outlook. Learn about savings, budgeting, cash flow, debt management, and how to adopt financial strategies that lead to positive long-term outcomes. This event is presented in partnership by Eugene Public Library, Prosperity Program of Goodwill Industries of Lane and South Coast Counties, and United Way of Lane County.

      • Every Friday morning from 7:30 until 9:00 a.m., the Eugene Greeters gather at Valley River Inn, unless otherwise noted. The group is intended to offer a networking opportunity for Eugene Chamber members and guests interested in Chamber membership. This lively group offers a fun way to promote individual businesses – learn a little from both a short spotlight speaker and a 15-minute-long program speaker, become acquainted with new friends, and enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast.

 

  • Family Fun: Make Art

      • There’s a new activity for kids and family every Sunday at 2:00 at the Downtown Library. This week, create art inspired by myths and legends from around the world with the Multicultural Children’s Art Museum and Little Owl Art School, followed by the Multicultural Art Contest Award Ceremony.

 

  • Genealogy (Sheldon)

      • This class is designed for those who have already attended Eugene Public Library’s introductory Online Genealogy class. Get advanced tips on researching your family tree. Topics include in-depth Internet searching, how to organize your data and keep track of sources, and the benefits of connecting with the genealogy community online. Internet skills required. This workshop will be held at Bethel Branch on Tuesday, November 21, 6:00 p.m., and at Sheldon Branch on Tuesday, November 28, 6:00 p.m.

 

  • Walkers Storytime
    • Thursday, November 30th, 2017
    • 10:15 AM to 11:30 AM
    • Downtown Library – 100 W. 10th Eugene, OR 97401
      • Once babies start walking, they can learn in new ways and try more activities. This is a 30-minute event: 15-minute program, followed by 15 minutes of play to help build social skills and friendships. Storytimes are lively interactive gatherings filled with stories, songs, rhymes, movement, and social time. Research shows that these language-rich activities help young children develop the skills they’ll need as they grow into learning to read. Storytimes are free of charge, on a drop-in basis: first come, first served. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Come join in the fun!
