October is here! Summer has come and gone and Fall is officially here! With cooler weather and rain on the forecast it’s easy to want to stay home but with these fun Fall events in October you may just think twice. There is everything from

  • Bill’s Berry Farm Apple & Pumpkin Festival

      • What is fall without a trip to the farm with your family, friends or small group to enjoy the bounty of the harvest? If you are looking for clean, wholesome harvest fun, fresh produce and great memories then you will love our two venues- the Berry Park and our Fall Park with a large variety of activities that all ages will enjoy. We even provide a free hayride shuttle from one park to the other. There is so much to do that most families plan to spend 3-5 hours at the farm.
  • Oktoberfest

      • The fall event you won’t want to miss! There will be food and drinks, games and prizes, music and dancing, one day only discounts and so much more. We will also be having pumpkins to pick, fall treats, scarecrows to see and fun to be had. This is a family friendly event and admission is free!
  • CBC Planetarium October Movies
    • Saturday, October 14th, 2017

      • In July 2015, the New Horizons spacecraft gave us our first close look at Pluto, the most famous dwarf planet in the outskirts of our Solar System. The New Horizons flyby was big news, and the pictures it continues to send back to Earth reveal a world far more complex than anyone realized. Using nothing but their wits (and high-powered telescopes and a thorough understanding of orbital mechanics), these intrepid explorers are making new discoveries about how our Solar System formed—and what it may be hiding. Recommended for middle school age and up. 30 minutes.
  • Walk to End Alzheimer’s

  • Halloween 5K/1 Mile Costume Fun Run
    • Saturday, October 28th, 2017
    • 9AM – 12PM
    • Columbia Park – (East end of Columbia Park at the Rotary Stage area) – Kennewick, WA 99336
      • Calling all Super Heroes, Villains, Zombies, Pirates, Mermaids, Ghosts, Goblins, and everyone else. Here is your chance to show off your best Halloween costume and take part in the 1st Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers 5K/1Mile Fun Run, Saturday, October 28, 9:00 a.m. in the east end of Columbia Park in Kennewick WA at the Rotary Stage area. Costumes are not required but strongly encouraged.  Anyone who enters the Fun Run is eligible to compete in the Costume Contest taking place right after the Fun Run.  The costume contest is an open competition with everyone competing against one another. Registration: Before Oct. 1: $25-13 and older-includes official Fun Run t-shirt; $15-12 and under-includes official Fun Run t-shirt. After Oct. 1: $25-13 and older w/o t-shirt; $15-12 and under w/o t-shirt. T-shirts-$10 while supply lasts. Sponsorships are available for interested groups, businesses, or organizations.
  • Family Storytime with Ms. Corinne
    • Wednesdays in October
    • 5:30PM – 6:30PM
    • Mid-Columbia Library – 101 E. Main St. Othello, WA 99344
      • Join us for stories, songs, rhymes, and activities designed to celebrate the joy of reading. This program is for families with children of all ages.
