November is here! Fall is in full force and the holidays are right around the corner. Can you hear the Christmas music already?  These last few months of the year are all about family and those you love. Spend time with those you love with these fun events going on in Tualatin this month. There is everything from a class to make lotion bars to a Dance Fitness Class!

 

  • Make Lotion Bars
    • Saturday, November 4th, 2017

      • Intensify the moisturizing effects of natural lotion in a convenient and non-messy bar. Great holiday gift idea! All supplies included. For more information contact Kristen at 971-338-0022. 14 and up with parent guardian.
    • Indoor Playgroup
      • Wednesday, November 8th, 2017
      • 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM
      • Sandy Community Center – 38348 Pioneer Blvd. Sandy, OR 97055
        • Parents and caregivers are invited to join and meet others with young children, make new friends, share and exchange information about parenting, learn about community resources, and have fun with other
          activities for you and your child. Playgroup is a parent/child interactive opportunity in a relaxed, large
          indoor-park setting offering playtime and semi-structured activities. Light snack provided. Indoor Park is staffed by volunteers and help is always needed to set-up and put away toys and activities.

 

  • Create Holiday Cards and Gift Tags Workshop
    • Sunday, November 12th, 2017
    • 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM

      • Using paper, old Christmas cards, greeting cards, ribbon, sequins, jewels, and flowers– we will cut, glue and tape these materials into beautiful Holiday Greeting Cards and gift tags.
        We will use various stamps and stamp pads to add to the fun of this 2-hour do-it-yourself workshop!

 

  • Wee Ones Story and Play Time

  • Refit Dance Fitness

      • A fitness community that is not just for the fit, but for the willing. A full body workout: body, mind, soul, spirit. Family friendly environment featuring clean songs and carefully selected moves that incorporate cardio dance, toning and flexibility. Fitness with purpose! No expectation, no requirements.   • Anime Club

      • This ANIME CLUBis specifically for 6-12th graders who want to come together to share their passion for anime. We will watch some anime, talk about our favorites, eat snacks, and craft. Ages 12-17. This program takes place on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.   • Gaming Factory

      • Come play, create and share!  Join us in the Sandy Library Community Room for computer games, coding workshops, and Magic: The Gathering card games. We provide laptops and use self-guided coding tutorials for beginners, intermediate and advanced coders.  Free popcorn and lemonade provided.

 

  • Read to the Dog – Come Meet Ananda!
    • Thursday, November 30th, 2017
    • 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
    • Sandy Public Library – 38980 Proctor Blvd. Sandy, OR 97055
      • Kids learning to read can practice their skills every Thursday from 4-5pm in the Children’s area of the Sandy Public Library. Reading to a dog can help struggling kids gain confidence in their reading abilities in a no-stress non-judgmental environment.
